Yeah, keep searching - pretty certain I got pointers on installing mine by reading & looking at pix by a guy who had a Kymco 300.

I just did mine. I went with my own LED strip though as I wanted a double row with the option for turn signals in a third middle row later. You will need the GIVI SR92 mount kit to place the Bestem universal mount too.

To mount it the best you should. I got that topbox and looked at trying to mount it by itself but the Givi mount made it so much easier to do it. I love the box myself.

Our extension is not a typical luggage rack so the universal will not fit. If you are willing to drill the heck out of the stock rack it would be fine. With the SR92 it is much easier and more secure as now the universal plate is bolted to a metal base. For the wiring connection I also purchased the Bestem quick disconnect. It is more expensive than just a trailer disconnect but works well.

With any Givi box unfortunately you will ne either the SR92 or SR92M. The advantage of those box's is with the proper mount no drilling at all will be required. Expect to spend quite a bit more though. Adding the backrest pad and lighting can get even more expensive.

A side note is I finally used the custom internal LED lights last night. They are a great addition to the box. Well worth the effort and you do not mind epoxying light strips to a $100 box.

yes you are modded the Bestem mounting plate to match the holes on the Givi rack. You need to drill 2 new holes and widen 2 holes for it to fit. I will try to find the pic for you.

I'll take some pic's of the plate tomorrow. I did mine slightly different. The two holes ne the back of the seat on the universal plate were enlarged with a drill bit. The default location is slightly off and a slight bore out of them made that position dooable. The two holes at the end of the plate had to be drilled 100%. I did this by drilling the first from underneath the plate at it is not flat where the hole goes. you have to drill them into the bent edging of the inner section. Once drilled I used the bracket that gets mounted to align the second hole drilling from the top.

you also will need to trim the plastic stops on the underside as they stick out to far towards the Givi plate. Lastly these tend to rattle quite a bit from vibration. Expect to place some dampening pads down. You can never get it 100% rattle free from vibration but it can get smoothed out significantly.
