I thinking about buying a 450i, do they make one with factor lift kit an over size tires?

I've not seen a factory lift kit, but I have seen a company making aftermarket kits, I myself have tried to get ahold of them but have not been able to get through. I think they were called the twisted grip and they posted something on this forum within the past 6 months.

Keep in mind when you start raising the machine and going with oversized tires your handling, ride and overall performance is going to suffer. You will loose some performance by going to oversize tires, the ride quality which this machine excels at will suffer, it will become top heavy/tippy as it has a narrower width to get thru the trails better and you will be replacing CV joints more often as everyone does that raises their machines. Just a lot of trade-offs that many do not realize.

how much taller a tire can the machine handle without having clearance issues

the stock size is perfect for off road, however most of my use is street, where I hit the rev limiter too quickly, I'd actually like to lose a little in acceleration performance and be able to maintain 45mph without constantly bouncing off the rev limiter

26" tires ? 27" would be the absolute tallest I would go if they wouldn't have issues, please remember this is smooth sailing street use I am talking about

Randyo, Google ATV fixed plate mod. I did this on my wife's Grizzly when I added 1.5mm of shims to the CVT sheaves. If you cut and bend for 1.5mm it should give you 4-5 mph more top speed. I think we had hers mig welded so I have a whole $20.00 and my time in the fixed plate mod.

Let me say there is plenty of clearance for larger tires, how much depends on how big you want to go. On my machine I figured I would go to 26" when the time comes for replacement tires, as many have stated it hits the rev limiter way to quick. Can't say how much more top end a 26" will give but from all appearances that size will be no issue at all and won't make it to tall and top heavy.  26" should still leave for good handling/ride qualities.  With just some eyeball measuring a 27 and mabey a 28 will work but I would be way to worried about handling issues, also keep in mind that going big on tires will also use up drive belt life quickly, and changing out a drive belt does not look like a picnic on these machines.

like I said, I'm only thinking 26" or maybe 27" , and only for smooth street use, I have a spare set of wheels and will continue to use 25" off road

it's just annoying with 2 300lb guys aboard + 150-250 lbs of gear in the back to hit the rev limiter on flat going while barely feathering the throttle, I'm not really trying to go any faster, I'm just wanting to stay off the rev limiter with so little throttle

my most common use is running signs and cones

There is quite a variance in actual size difference from one manufacture to another in ATV/UTV tires. For instance, the Kenda 24/8 and 24/10 tires that are on my MXU measure well under 24" mounted on the rim off the vehicle. I think they were actually closer to 23".  The 25" Carlisle radials I have (have not mounted yet)  have a factory listed spec of 25.2" mounted. I guess what I am trying to say is with some tires up one size will be closer to two! On many ATV/UTV warranties are voided if you change tire size or lift them as far as the drivetrain is concerned beyond what is offered by the factory. Not sure on Kymco's stance on that. I do know that on Honda and Arctic Cat it is a deal breaker.

Randyo, if you had 14" spare rims you could consider an allterrain LT tire in say 205/75-14. They are 26" tall and General, Firestone both make them and it would take you many years to ever wear a set out. They would still offer fair traction if the sides of the road were wet or soft.
