I find getting out of doors is the best pick me I can give myself sometimes.

Yesterday I returned to the pulpit for the first time since my accident. The last time I preached was the 4th Sunday in June. By the way, although I made provisions to be seated if necessary, I was able to stand for the duration of my sermon by simply either leaning on the lectern or bracing on my Walker. Thank God for one more step toward normalcy. Still waiting to be fitted with my prosthetic leg when conditions are met. Meanwhile, I refuse to put life on hold while waiting.

AGAIN, THANKS FOR EVERYONE's SUPPORT.

Great news Forbes! I am glad to hear you are back in the spiritual saddle, so to speak. I truly admire the spirit God has given you through all of this. Did y'all sing "Leaning on the Everlasting Arms?"  ;D  Still praying in Georgia.

Forbes, you are getting to be.......w'll just say, you have "BOUNCE BACK" figured out and in place! You are a fine example of what Daniel would do.

Don't leave us to wonder, what was your sermon?

My sermon was taken from Ecclesiastes 3:1-15 The key verse was verse 14. It compared the many changes in life to the PERMANENCE of what God does. No matter the twists and turns of life, no matter the uncertainties, We can ALWAYS depend on God to be unchanging and enduring.

Pastor Forbes,
You've probably realized that your congregation is growing.

Well, in a way it is. When I noted on Facebook on Saturday night that I planned to return to the pulpit the next day, a Lady asked me to record the sermon. So I made an audio recording and emailed it to her. She asked me to send others.  Also, I've been chronicling my recovery and thoughts on my Facebook page almost daily. And folks are reading them that are not on my friends list. So it seems as if I have a "Facebook congregation" too. Lol.
