About time someone did this. I've thought about doing something like this with one of my naked Burgman 650's.
'03 Clipper Yellow Honda Reflex
'03 Coast Cyan Atlantic 500
'14 White MyRoad 700i
'09 Mirage White Burgman 650
'06 Oort Gray Burgman 650 project
'05 Sonic Silver Burgman 650 project
'03 Space Blue Burgman 650, rebuilt/upgraded CVT w/Polish adapter
'03 Space Blue Burgman 650 parts bike

I just hope if this makes it into production that Honda will make it available in the States.  :)

Can't wait to see one in the flesh.  I reckon it will be very pricey.

It's cool, very cool and based on the Africa twin.
I could be a buyer if they can keep it under 10 grand.

What % of America has a place for off-road riding? Imagine how many of that % will want to do it on an expensive, heavy, 750 cc, scooter?

They'll make noise with this - like they did with the Vultus NM4 - and there will be just as much demand -- and sell just as many as they did that batmobile.
Maybe...maybe there are enough wealthy Americans who will buy this just to finally get a scooter with adequate suspension travel !!

Honda needs to build a new maxi scooter - between the Forza and SilverWing.
Hopefully that is in the works.

Honda seems to be trying out a few different bikes.  The Grom was released here recently and from what I have heard is doing real well in sales.

That's spot on !
But they don't ever design these things with the U.S. market in mind. We get what they make for the rest of the world. Nobody will want to off road the thing, here anyway. It's a look that's they are selling.

They don't need wealthy Americans , just those that can pass a credit check and have a case of the "wants".

Germain to nothing. Again.
I love you AMAC.
Seriously do....

Maybe you also have come to the same conclusion that I have:

" It is better to be wanting something,  than to get it.
Just don't get crazy about it. "
That's all I got.

That's because you guys are on the side of the country and you do not have all the wonderful public lands (National Forests, OHV areas, National Parks, and BLM land) to explore. There are many a time I've gone out riding someplace and thought wouldn't it be nice if I had my Jeep to go explore that road. I'm not much of a dirt bike person and I suppose all that shifting turns me off a bit also but If I had a dual sport with auto trans and perhaps a seat height better suited to a normal person rather than a stork I'd be game for it.

I can't speak to the smaller scooter but I often here some of the maxi-scoot guys complain about suspension travel yet bikes like the Kawasaki Concours have near the same travel. On scooters I think most of the issue is smaller wheels, too much static sag, and poor dampening.

How many other places in the world do they have as many places to go offroading as in the Western United States? We have deserts, mountains, beaches, etc. Twist and go could be great, look at the explosion in side by sides.

I tend to look at these things as interesting....coffee shop talk as it were. The reality of it is, is that I can't afford a scooter like this as it's like the big BMW scooter, expensive. After buying a new Burgman 650 in 2007 on a Suzuki credit card at 25% interest, I learned my lesson and buy good used bikes that are paid for. I've never paid more than 3500 for any used bikes, including Goldwings. For those of you that can afford to pay more than 10 grand for a bike, perhaps one of these new fangled scooters is for you. Meanwhile, life is good with my 2003 Honda Silverwing that I paid 1900 bucks for.

It isn't based on the Africa Twin, its a restyle of the NC750X.
What it really is........ an adventure bike you can't ride off road and a maxi scooter with no internal storage.
Bound to sell like hot cakes to fruitcakes with more cash than brains.
