Dr Pulley sliders after 5000km
« on: August 10, 2016, 11:19:49 AM »
These sliders have 5000km, been inside the scoot for 1 year.
Is this normal wear or should they be changed? What could have caused the excessive wear on two of the sliders?

Possible, but I think I did put them all in the same way...

I got roughly 7000 miles on mine which would be roughly 11.2K kilometers will take a pic of them later those don't look that bad but the indentions in them puzzle me.

The ones with the wear lines were installed wrong. If they were all installed the same way, then the others just haven't started showing yet.

I found out that I had to pay CLOSE attention. Once I paid close enough attention, I too saw that there was only one right way as well. But I had to look closely.

they could have been put in right,   it is when you install the pulley, if it open up a little,  one could flip over

They can actually be put in two ways the correct way has the Dr Pulley name facing up. And they can flip or so I've heard it's never happened to me yet.

The ramp plate makes those indentations. The wear does not look bad to me. It is SO easy to install them wrong. I went back to Dr. Pulley rollers.

my slider have about 40,000 Km. on them and they look the same as yours,.  with the same line on them from the ramp plate

The ramp-plates usually have sharp edges when they come from the factory. These sharp edges are the reason and the cause for this.
So use a fine iron-file and sandpaper and remove equally the sharp edges of the ramp-plates where the rollers or sliders run.
Instruction videos for this very important (!) procedure can be found on the Dr. Pulley Website.

But unfortunately almost nobody knows this...
