Delayed Clutch?

Ok this might be completely normal but I thought I`d ask.
When I pull off it seems like an aweful lot of revs required just to get moving, also if I want to just crawl at like 5-mph the revs required also seem very high?
I`m comparing to my wifes Yamaha Mio 115 which is much easier.
Is this normal or can the clutch be adjusted in some way?

How many miles/years on CVT parts (belt...clutch...roller weights)?
All stock scooter?

246 KM from new.
IT also sqeels like a pig occasionally, at which point it loses acceleration. It only does this for a few seconds at a time

Other symptoms are, if I pull onto my drive which is a very slight gradient is seems to need a lot more rev than I`d expect to move forward.

Belts can squeal.....glazed clutch pads can cause jerks, slips, judders.
My scooters require a brisk takeoff to get clutch 'hooked-up' quickly which prevents glazed clutch pads.
Very gentle takeoffs lead to poor drivetrain behavior on all my scooters.
Most do not like poking along at low speeds.....need motorcycle gears for that.
I would return to dealer and have them test drive since you are still under two yr warranty.
Sorry it doesn't perform as good as your other scooter.

The mio will happily sit at like 5mph and crawl along. The Kymco wont engage the engine at that speed, only accelerate to a higher speed or slow down to a complete stop if that makes sense

One other thought....it IS all stock yes?
A set of (too) light slider weights will make the engine revs spool up to get going.
Some like that extra power/acceleration at stop lights.
It is just more engine revs at work.

Yep. Wouldn't hurt to have it checked out. The only thing that concerns me is the "sqealing like a pig" thing. That is not normal. A longer clutch engagement time on a newer scooter is not surprising. The rear contra spring weakens just a little with time and heat cycles and consequently the clutch should engage a little sooner after break-in. But the squeal is troubling.

Ok I will have it checked. The sqeel thing has only happened approx 3 times.
Apart from that though I`m over the moon with the thing!! Never thought I could have so much fun on a bike that is 136BHP LESS than my other bike??

After more information and thought I believe more than likely the scooter just isn't broken in yet. If the squealing stops I would just ride it and let everything wear-in. Try a little more throttle on take-off. Scooters are a blast aren't they? It is kind of like when we ride we know a secret that most people are not aware of. They are just fun!

For what it's worth, mine squealed for a few days on take off when I changed the belt. Never happened again after that initial few days.

Again, that you all for the input on this. I think the bottom line is that you guys are right because its never done it since I posted this thread and the clutch seems to be getting more and more responsive.
All I have is good things to say about it. Especially the brakes! they are awesome!
