CVT drive belts, 23100LCD4E00 or 23100KEC4900
« on: August 12, 2016, 10:08:47 AM »
Hi ,

Can anybody tell me the differences between 23100LCD4E00 or 23100KEC4900 Kymco motor scooter CVT drive belts

Finding technical specifications for motor scooter CVT drive belts is far harder than it should be  ::)

You didn't say what scoot you are looking for.
I have two OEM Kymco belts in a box for my LIKE200i .
Both have 23100-LCD4-EOA on the KYMCO bag...., and were made 18 mos apart in Taiwan.
But printed on the belts is:"KYMCO 23100-LCD4-E00 BANDO"

Thats very interesting!

Do you think they have different  technical specifications?, maybe Kevlar reinforced or who knows what

I dont understand the need for a name change, are they doing it just to force people to use OEM Kymco spare parts?

so far it sounds like 3 name for 1 CVT drive belt! 23100LCD4E00 or 23100KEC4900 or 23100-LCD4-E00 BANDO

Im not sure of this CVT drive belts dimensions but www.teamworld.com.tw/universal/product_detail.php?serial=369

quoting  781X20X30X9.5   do those measurements look right?

Probably lots of places selling belt for LIKE200I.
But overwhelming user opinion is OEM KYMCO belts are the best quality.

Or any other if you prefer more excitement.

OEM Kymco belt lasted 15000km and was still OK.
Some no name belt exploded after 7200km, at 75km/h going uphill (scared the sh*t out of me), Dynaflex belt lost a tooth and was looking pretty bad after 9200km.
Now on a Bardo belt, only 1000km, so far so good.

So I followed Stigs link
http://www.kymcopartsmonster.com/p/Kymco-Parts#/Kymco_USA/KA40AA_LIKE_200_(2010)/E05_-_Driven_Pulley/04%7c%7e48%7c%7e0005/04%7c%7e48%7c%7e0011

This is for the 2010 Kymco Like 200i motor scooter sub model KA40AA

and it shows a new part number!

23100   23100-LCD4-E0A   BELT DRIVE **(1) C.2005.05.18   $46.99 USD

But again, theres no  technical specifications anywhere that I can find on this part number or the others :(

That is the correct belt.
If you are looking for the service limit of the stock belt it is - 10,000Km and/or 19mm.
Perhaps the LIKE is not produced in sufficient numbers to support production of quality after-market belts.

Are there after-market belts of the correct quality, size, & construction to fit the LIKE?
I would have to be in a respected bike shop in Taiwan or Southeast Asia to get that question answered.

6200 miles on a OEM $47 belt is a lot of riding for the $ .

Stig makes some very good points, But Im in Australia and closer to Asia than the USA

As for motor scooter CVT drive belt compatibility, the Kymco Like motor scooter seems to use the same belt as many Kymco motor scooters, I think this is a list of all of them:

200 People S 05-
200 Like 09-
200 Agility R16 10-
150 Agility R16 08-
150 Agility 06-07
150 Movie 06-07
125 Agility 06-
125 Agility r16 08-
125 Agility RS 09-
125 Like 09-
125 Move 06-07
125 People 99-
125 Super 8 08-

If anybody wants to double check or add to that list, feel free

But can you Imagen, being an automotive engineer and telling your boss your new design needs all new factory tooling to be made and uses zero common components with other models you manufacture?

Youd be packing your desk up that day!

Look at Toyota if you want to see automotive manufacturing done right, the same common components are used over and over again across many different Toyota models
