I've got my eye on a used 2009 Kymco People 250 1600 miles... private sale... Around the 2K mark.. How are these scoots? is it priced correctly? very good condition, hardly any flaws at all.

That's one of the best scooters kymco ever made, IMO.
Plenty of power, comfort ergos for most and a solid motor.

That's good to hear... it sure is a nice looking scooter, it's different than the other People models I have seen though, with a 250cc engine it should be a nice little ride.

Local used car lot still has a new ..repoed....250S...in his showroom.
Less than 10 miles on it.
Pretty red.
Been there for well over a year.
Warranty is gone since it was registered for the road yrs ago.
His price keeps going up and down....between $2k & $3k.
7 yrs old.

One of the best all-purpose scoots ever made IMO.  Check out the review on the Justgotascoot website.  Perfect for commuting or weekend rides on back roads.  I little limited for the interstate, but other highways are okay.  Not even broken in yet with that mileage, as long as it wasn't just sitting most of that time.

Show him the cracked tire sidewalls and ask him nicely if he could do a bit better - since tires & install might run $175 to $250.
No marks, or broken panels, never been down?
Might be a good buy if pristine....but then I'm hard to please.

Never had a 250, but I loved everything about my People 150. Great scooter, rock solid, very smooth ride on those 16" tires. I still miss it.....

I have a 2009 super 8 150.  I have size 12 feet the Super 8 has plenty of room for them.  However, the 14" rear tire is an unusual size and I haven't been able to find any tires in that size here in the US other than the stock chen shin.  I'd rather have the 12" tires of the Movie 150.

I'd take the Movie over the Super 8 anytime.  Going to a bigger scooter of 200-250cc will allow you to ride on higher speed roads than either of the 150's.  A 150 is great around town but not the ideal size if you want to go on longer trips.

So, I pulled the trigger on the People S250, I couldn't believe how clean it was, barley a scuff on it, 1600 miles, I'm not sure if the tires were changed or not but they didn't have any cracks in them and looked new, Kenda brand...is that an original tire brand? Has a Givi rear luggage compartment,
Everything else was like new... Very nice guy offered to deliver ...getting it tomorrow...

Congrats...I'm sure you will enjoy the People Scoot.  Kenda tires are an OEM tire for many Kymco scooters, and if those are the original tires, I would recommend changing them at their age.  The Givi box is a nice score.   Ride safely and in good health.

Beautiful scooter!
At 1600 miles it is barely brocken in...!
Don't know what he paid to get it out the dealer's door onto the road.....maybe $3000 more than you paid.
At that condition and mileage. ..hearing it start and rev is probably all the test ride needed...or permitted.
Nice job!
Stig
(and yes...those are original tires...so think about that before you WOT it to 70 on the interstate@@!)

Thanks for all the comments and info that got me this far...I'm patiently waiting for it now... It's like Christmas Day when you're 5 years old...lol
I'll be sure to change those tires.... Any recommendations?
