I finally rec'd my CityVision Moto Philips bulb from the U.K.
After 3 yrs I figured my bulb was getting tired and decided to try this PHILIPS bulb after reading this blurb... I also like the idea that using this bulb will improve my "differentiation" from other giant yellow mammals on a scooter in the city. !!

While I was in there, I sucked off and refreshed the brake fluid. Admittedly not a Full Monty brake bleed, but better than ignoring the reservoirs. Cover things with rags to protect from the drips. (brake fluid will eat a hole thru the Earth & your scooter if you dribble)

The mirrors come off, the turn signals come loose (don't lose the veggie parking brakes) . Remove the 4 screws on the rear of the head cover, then release the 3 head cover clips with a pizza cutter, separate gently after removing the two screws holding the front half of the cover (the 'headlight' half)
Pop the wire clip & replace the bulb without touching it ( :) ).
Flip instructions over and reassemble. (I only dropped 1 screw into the where-ever....but I bought 15lbs of LIKE fasteners parted-out on eBay - so I'm good)

hidden screw (1 ea. side) releases front half of cover with headlight...


While you're in here might as well renew the brake fluid (if raining go ahead and do the Full Monty brake bleed)....not raining here. Use new bottle of DOT 4 fluid.

The other....2 hours later (hey, I take a lot of breaks, plus I dropped a screw)


Camera isn't showing much difference...but I immediately  saw the different color in the new bulb. Orange hints.
Will see how it looks at O'Dark:30 tomorrow.

If it turns out to be illegal...I'll do a low-speed evade (think "O J  in the white Bronco") until one of us gives up and goes for a Donut.

Good to see you finally got it.  Will be interested in what you think of it once you have tried it out at night.  You can definitely notice the orange glow but I don't know if I reckon it is any brighter.

You can for sure see a difference, have to see what that translates to in the dark.

OK....
1st morning ride report with this new Philips bulb....
It is noticeably brighter, with no hint of a color change from the rider's seat.
Next thought I had is that I need to adjust the beam down. The top cut-off of beam is more distinct with this bulb...but is too high...well up into the eyes of oncoming drivers.
Glad I didn't pass many this morning. Will go home and put tape on inside of garage door and start the multi-day adjustment process.
"40% brighter"...?  Probably.  40% more than the stock LIKE200i is appreciated...but not enough to be comfortable at 40mph on an unfamiliar road in the dark.
From 50 yards away..the headlight does not look orange...but it does look "different". Which is also a selling point for me.
I'm satisfied with the new bulb.
I did notice that the glass globe is smaller than the stock bulb.
Yet brighter. ??
Will post again after adjusting and more nights with it.

Good report Stig.  One thing that I noticed about the LIKE light is that it is not very even on the road in front of you.  You have lighter areas and darker areas and that makes spotting potholes and other road defects pretty hard.
