Peoples 50 won't start
« on: June 14, 2010, 01:06:57 PM »
Good morning, my peoples 50 won't start this morning.  I haven't started it in a week and it has been rainy all weekend.  It is covered though.  Would using starter fluid through the air filter intake harm it in anyway.  It seems to need that  little extra to get going.  If so is there anything I should know before attemping this proceedure.  Any help would be great. ???

They dont like to sit to long without being started It takes a bit to get the fuel flowing I usualy just use the kick start 15 to 20 kicks. If it don't start than you might need to clean the carb, check your spark plug and air filter.starting fluid isn't great for your bike It could work in a pinch, but i would try to get going without.
Kymco peoples too many ;) I'm not an expert just a full time hobbiest.

You most likely have some condensation in the tank/float bowl. Do the things art suggested, and add a few Oz. of Sea Foam to the fuel. That will displace any water, and clean out your combustion chamber. If these basics don't get it post back, and we will get you going. Ps Start fluid may get it started, but still go thru the basics so it won't happen all the time.
