The bulb is shattered, not sure how it happened or when it happened.  I took it for a test ride this evening in the dark and someone pointed it out to me that i had no lights on.  The high beams are also not coming on but they dont seem to be shattered.

How could this have happened?  I do remember rolling the scoot off a curb pretty hard a few days ago.  Not sure if that did it.  Any clues?

Looking to replace it asap, do you guys know what type of bulb i can pick up at lets say... a home depot?

You can addapt a 35watt fog lamp bulb to fit. Don't go bigger! I think they are H-5 halogen. Here's a pict http://www.alibaba.com/product-free/104968917/H5_halogen_headlight_lamp_ECE_approved_with_E_mark.html   Just get the 35 amp.

The wires just pull out of the stock connector (release the pin on the side of each one), and the new bulbs base will fit into the lens where the old socket was. I used silicone to seal the edge

Hmm, i just picked up a halogen from the dealer that fits the same way as the original bulb.   Was only $4 so i picked up two just in case.  MUCH brighter, i really like it.

my scoot did that when my lights broke I found a little water from rain in theam
so they broke. take some silicone and put all around the rubber cup that gos over the light to stop
water from geting in. and you should be good.

I saw some water in the broken bulb too, i thought it was part of the bulb, lol.   That explains it because i had ridden home when it poured down like a motherf' the other day.
