Great plan Dan! Thats pretty much what I do. I commute to work and  rarely drive my car. My Helix has a large trunk and I have a Besteem top box on it. I can haul all the groceries and stuff my wife and I need.  My mom is in an assisted living home about 60 miles away so that is my normal weekend ride. (Sometimes my brother joins me on his Burgman) We all have to compromise to do what is best for everyone. Keep it up man!

Hey, that makes you our kind of person! I rode for 6 weeks with a medical boot thingy on my right foot (fracture) last year despite the wife's protests. And she often finds me sitting on my scooter in the garage whimpering when the snow flies.
I've  wondered if i could  put my red temp. handicap tag on my scooter  mirror and use those spaces. Dealing with nonriding foot injury for 7weeks. Doc gave me paperwork for the tag....picked up 2 at DMV.
Probably look weird. .....better not try it i guess. °¿°

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

I'm not a coffee drinker, but I got to wondering. When you get up early to ride and stop for coffee are you getting the first fresh brewed pot of the day or last night's remains? Just curious.  ;)
No way would a coffee shop ever sell me a 2nd cup if it was old.
Dino's, UnderDog and Spirited Goat sell tremendously powerful and fresh cups of Joe an hour before sunrise. (stuff is like expensive aftermarket  scooter pipes.....you just THINK you're  going faster due to the noise & $$ you've  spent)
Dino gets the jump on them by 1/4 hour FYI.

We see disability plates on cycles all the time here.
If it's your sticker and you need it then I'd use the spots. Just avoid the ones marked "van".
Lots of things look weird to those that can't see past the superficial .

Perfectly legal. Of course some tool may steal your plackard.....

Thanks guys for morphing this discussion as it appears I won't be getting another scooter anytime soon anyway unless I upgrade my SW. What could I possibly upgrade to from a SW? I'm guilty of materialism where I always feel a need for more. I need to be happy with what I have because what I have is pretty darn sweet.

How about getting some new stuff for your SW? Corbin seat, led lights, heated grips, better windshield etc. That is one way to keep what you have and still be getting something a little better.

Merry Christmas Dan!  ;D

Thanks Mr. Paul. Since I have a Givi top box, Givi windshield and Saddleman seat I think I'll get new grips and some winter textile riding over pants.

Thanks Mr. Paul.

Also thinking about a Power Commander fuel controller too. Should smooth out my acceleration, increase mileage and roll on power.

Grom has no cargo space (no floor boards). Buddys are standard trans, expensive to maintain. Vespas are all REALLY expensive. Yamahas hard to get parts for, and expensive if you can find them. Hondas are feeble and slow. Small-wheel scooters require extra driving care.  Kymcos are a good compromise once you jail-break the CDI rev-limiters.
