Please help me decide
« on: October 23, 2016, 10:41:58 PM »
Ok guys i am the proud owner of a 2009 xciting 500ri at 7,000 miles ,also a 2009 Yamaha Majesty at 2,800 miles. I am in a situation where i need to sell one. They both have new tires and are both all stock and run flawlessly! Which one would you keep in terms of longevity? They both fit my purpose perfectly. I am sad and confused. Thank you for any help guys.

I'd keep the majaesty, I've never been a fan of the 500.
Of course the yammi is an easier sale.

I love my Kymco. .....but have to agree with AMAC.
If can only have one of those two machines, it would be an easy decision for me  - I'd  keep the Majesty. No brainer.
Sorry for your plight. ...but take heart, owning a low mileage Yamaha 400 isn't  the worst that can befall a person!

My '09 xciting 500 has over 41,000 miles and still running strong. I'm prejudiced towards the Xciting. Then again, I have not owned a Yamaha scooter, so . . . not much help. Yours is a good situation to be in though.

I would go with Stig and AMAC since the 500 has required a lot of customer re-engineering judging by numerous posts on this forum. Bongoman's experience seems to be the exception. Yamaha quality has never been in question since 1966 when I had one.

If you are not in a rush id sell the xciting and keep the majesty. The xciting will be harder to sale and its resale value is lower... but if you can live with it. Byebye xciting

I am over 65,000 mile on my 2007 X500. No real issues. Stator replaced at 50 some thousand miles. Thats about it.  :-*

If you have had no such Xc500 issues as described on this forum, then you also have an exception, and can happily sell off the majesty.
That 500 has amazing performance and I bet you smile all the time while riding it.
Plus, it is a beautiful machine . Win /win.
