Any vertically challenged riders out there?

Hi.
 I am thinking about getting back into the scooter game. I am 5'5" w/ 29 inseam. Have had a majesty 400 and sold my silverwing 600 about a year ago and bought a big street bike , but truthfully still miss having a scooter around for running errands and fiddle- fartin' on the two lane.
There's a couple low mile Exciting 250's not too far away from me and I was wondering if these were short person bikes? Flat foot at stop? Reach controls comfortably? Thanks

I've had both the Majesty 400 and an xciting 250. I'm 5 10, so both were a good fit for me. However if the Majesty fit you well, then the xciting should too because they felt very similar to me when standing still. But flat footing would be a challenge for a shorter person.

I also have a 29" inseam and I've never flat footed any bike! My S200 is fairly tall but I can 1 foot flat foot it at a stop by slightly tilting the scoot to one side...you'll just have to sit on a few scoots to see what fits you comfortably (or what fits OK that you can live with..)

I am 5' 7" with a 30" inseam, and I do the same thing, just tilt the scoot a bit and flat foot only one side. I usually choose which foot to put down by which side the traffic is on, so they see that I am fully stopped. If I try to put both feet down, I can only tip-toe , as my seat level is 31" high.

On the next page who has trouble with knees in the way of the handle bars , I have to dangle my feet when doing tight turns, on the yager -frost, the downtown is OK.

The Xciting is NOT for people with short legs.  Sit on one before buying it.

I'm a shortie too at 5'7" with a similar inseam. I find it odd that some of these scoots have such high seats like my People S200 had and now my Bet & Win 250. They're taller than my SW. You would've thought being designed by orientals they'd have set the seats lower for a shorter rider like themselves?  I don't feel as trepidations about being on my toes at a stop though because these bikes are so light or I'll just slide forward some and can then flat foot it.

I am 5'8" with a 29" inseam and can flat foot it on my Downtown 300. You might try sitting on a DT300 before you buy. I've owned both a Xciting 250 and a DT300. and the difference in the performance is very worthwhile with the DT. I did have a problem with leg room on the DT until I installed a back rest and highway pegs and now it fits me perfectly.. Good luck with your choice.
