Nice setup! Those saddle bags look like they were custom made for your scoot.

Before I retired, the fellow I worked with, a black man and a dear friend, use to kid each other about different things. One day Richard said to me,  just as I was taking off a week for a camping trip"you know Mac, I'm pretty sure us black folks are smarter than you white folks." "and how did you come to that conclusion Richard"? Mac, he said, "white folks are the only people I know who will spend 2 or 3 hundred thousand for a nice home and then go sleep in the woods."
But I sure did enjoy it. Have nice trip.........

Lake Amistad near Del Rio. Water level way down. Had to walk or climb down nearly a hundred feet for a swim on a warm day. Luckily, I was able to back the scoot under part of the cover over the picnic table and have covered parking. Nice.

Bongoman,

What exhaust are you running?  Did the efi adapt for the freer flow?  I have rough idle with my Leo Vince 4Road exhaust and am wondering if I need more back pressure.

Great story, Ole Two Wheels.

Alyn, funny thing I noticed about the exhaust. I went back to OEM muffler and rpms at hiway speed seem to drop by about 200. Not quite as quick off the line with OEM. I am thinking now that the back pressure from OEM does make the scooter scoot better down the road. Mileage remains the same as near as I can tell. The exhaust was a Zard from Italy. I liked it. Sound especially. Although the OEM is quieter, with a pleasant growl under acceleration.

I am running  a free flow air filter that I made myself. I cut out the cadrboard from OEM and inserted Unifoam cut to size. Unifoam is what some racers use. Oil it like a K&N.

Bongo, where did you get the h-bars and bags? The bags look like they are custom made for the scoot.

I don't remember about the bags. I know it was online somewhere like ebay or Amazon or something. From Italy I think. They are throw-overs. The handlebars came about because I tightened the straps too tight while trailering it from Austin to San Antonio. When I arrived, they were bent down. Way down. Found some bars I liked and the shop tefch installed them with Kurakyn grips. Verty comfortable. the risers came from Dragon Customs. I think they are out of business now.

I bought mine with the Leo Vince 4Road on it from a dealer and of course no stock exhaust. On my old 2009 exhaust was stock and it idled perfect. 4Road idles rough. I did as you did based on your post and modified the air filter with unifoam. Runs a bit better top end but still idles rough. With the stock rollers and the 4road I am
running at about 5500 rpm at 60mph GPS (65mph on the Kymco speedo).

As you pointed out, idle on mine was higher with Zard.
