first motorized 2 wheeler was a 2010 People S200 purchased in Fall of '15.....enjoyed riding it so much that I took the MSF course and then bought a used Ninja 300 last Fall.  Keeping them both because as others have said, they both have their place. Will probably move up to a little bigger bike within a few years but always plan on keeping the scooter.

Thought about one of the baby Ninja's once. Man those bikes scream with their high rpm. My largest sport bike was a Honda 919cc Hornet, inline 4. Top end 150 and quarter mile in 10.97 sec. @ 125mph. The bike was easily manageable as to power and weight but I was too agressive and didn't trust myself on it. Sometimes bigger is not always better. That's partly why I ride scooters as they're hugely underpowered for me.

I suppose I've owned over a couple hundred mc's. About a 1/2 dozen here now, plus the scooters, quads, mopeds and a HD golf cart.
Considered buying a Honda MB5 today, but passed on it.
I think I'll do scooters for a while.  They are handy.
With the present assortment, they should cover most types of riding.
And I gotta call the insurance agent again, today...
