You would need to look up your particular model number to get the correct cap if you need one.

I bought a new lockset/keys and it came with a gas cap, but I don't need it.

Some gas caps are pressure sealed. to help the gas flow. so you need to make sure that's what you need.

I'm pretty sure fuel injected bikes have different gas caps than carb bikes.
