It's easy. First you visit the Civil War battlefields in Kentucky, such as Perrysville, then you ride part of the Natchez TrailParkway. Now it's time to head to Hot Springs AK for a few days of exploring the area, then on to Texas to ride the Hill Country. A bit of wandering around Jefferson and Nacodoches before heading to Austin for two days. Into the Hill Country with stops in Fredericksburg, didn't miss the National Pacific War Museum, Llano and San Saba, home of Tommy Lee Jones, and then north to Clebourn to visit family and explore the Dallas, Ft Worth for three days. Headed north east into Oklahoma, thru Broken Bow taking 259 north to highway 1 east. This is the Talimena Scenic Drive, great views in the mountains !! Across Arkansas through Mountain View to Mamouth Springs at the border and into Missouri and a tour through the Mark Twain National Forest. We then crossed the Mississippi River and Ohio River into Kentucky. With a stop in Paducah and Louisville we headed home !! That is how you get that many miles from Columbus Ohio to Texas and back !
