People leaking fuel
« on: June 26, 2010, 02:35:29 AM »
Man... Havent rode my People 50 2t for a couple weeks. Got it started and noticed it was very low on gas. Took it up to the gas station, filled her up. Took the most gas ive ever put in it. Brought it back home for a few hours and when I went to go take off for a ride noticed a puddle of gas on the garage floor. I was concerned at first but thought maybe I just over filled it and was leaking because it was on the kickstand instead of the main stand. Rode it over to my moms (about a 40 min ride) and when I got here it was still leaking gas just above exhaust(dripping on the exhaust). Some kind of round fuel line junction box dont really know what it is. Maybe where the oil is mixed in. Anyways its dark and im sort of pissed, started drinkin so I'll take a better look at it tomorrow in the daylight.

...if you could take a pic that would be awesome, but it sounds like maybe in the area of the fuel pepcock....

..might be cracked, or a tear in the fuel hose...

..fuel filter cracked??

..check all those...

Lol. Guess what smell I woke up to this morning. Literally the whole house smells like gasoline. I usually dont mind the smell but damn this is horrible. I left it outside most of the night but I had to bring it in the garage at some point. Im callin the dealer this thing is only 2 1/2 months old!

Just called scooternerds (my dealer) they told me to bring it in today and they might get to it next week. This is total BS I have spend good money on this bike and they can't even tell me when they can fix it. FXXX that I'll fix this thing myself. >:(

My job is installing automotive lifts. If I install a lift and it starts leaking hydraulic oil we drive up to 4 hours back to where the customer is and fix the problem asap. We tell the customer when we will be there. This is the right way to do business not I'll get to it when I get to it!
Sorry guys just venting
