BRAKE DISC IS RUBBING?

I have noticed lately that my back disc seems to be rubbing as I can hear it when I move.  At first I thought it was the front but I think it is the back.  What to do friends?

Good question. Both my DT300i's rear brake had slight drag. Many posts on this. Since brake seemed to wear OK, I stopped both trying to fix and worrying.

I agree with Crossbolt. Maybe try few short sharp pumps of the brake when you set off though? Sometime that's enough to free up the pads.

Interesting I intuitively did that a few times and I think it did help alot.  Will do it again.

Sounds normal to me Kat. If it worries you, put the scoot on the center stand and see if you can spin the wheel by hand. If it turns easily by hand, you have no problem.

I very respectfully disagree Kneeslider. The WD 40 will wash away the silicone lubricate on the sliders and actually cause the problem Kat is concerned about. It will also eat the rubber dust cover. WD 40 does not leave a lubricating film once it dries. I do not think she need be overly concerned. A little pad contact is normal.

good pick-up mr paul,  I take the calipers apart clean out the pin holes re grease make sure there is no build-up of dirt around the calipers, push them all the way in, to re install, on scooter

I wish there were tutorials out there on this scooter with all sort of little jobs like this.  Hmmm well this maybe my thing to do now!

There are many, many scooter DIY videos which can be searched up on youtube. These offer practical demonstrations on many aspects  of scooter servicing. Our Kymco scoots are not so different from those built by Honda, Yamaha, etc. Probably nearly 50 on the Suzuki Burgman 400 alone.
From one end to the other ....scooters are very much like other scooters.
I learned a lot about my LIKE200i by watching these videos....at the time there was only one or two specific to my scooter model....but picked up a bunch of how-to / know-how from watching others work on their scoots.
Now there are nearly 28,000 views of a LIKE200i  valve adjustment  performed by a forum member in Canada!
Youtube videos, Google videos, Bing videos.....I've  learned a lot there.
