Well, I know you are not supposed to mix tire brands or treads, front to rear.
Yes, but I'm thinking that only applies to those who are riding at 7/10th to 10/10th's.
Me, I ride at more like 3/10 > 5/10th's. Unless a passing car hits the donut in my hand - I'm in no danger of scraping
anything on self or scooter when I corner.
I'm in no hurry - wet
or dry.
I don't have ABS - so my braking is already very personal, not automated or enhanced.
In a massive, massive emergency, on any tire, I'll probably lock the rear and slide on my side as is the custom....but hope not.
I'm running a Michelin City Grip with 11,000+ miles on the front (plenty of tread and still deep rain grooves)
and a new Michelin Power Pure on the rear of my LIKE200iLX.
I'm cheap. Next year I'll swap off the City Grip for a new P.Pure.
I don't think I'm being unsafe. Your thoughts?
The Power Pure Michelin on the road.
