Rattling Luggage Box.
« on: April 19, 2017, 08:32:26 PM »
Anyone found a solution for a rattling luggage box? Like others, the rubber seal came detached but I fixed that, now there seems to be lateral movement in the hinges. Maybe a new box?

Put weather stripping where the top and bottom come together when closed, that will tighten it up.

I had that problem and upon close inspection I discovered the rattle was coming from between the bottom mount, attached to the box and the quick release mount under it. I yellow 3M glued on several stripes of 1/16th rubber and walla! no more rattle.
