450i - Does it fit? Long bed, tail gate up?

I have been reading up on these side by sides and have finally made the decision to purchase one.  Found a dealer that is a couple hours away from me with a few in stock.  I spoke with him on the phone and asked about the ability to fit them in a long bed pickup with the tail gate up.  I could have sworn I read somewhere that they would, but can't find it now, and he says it won't.

Well, can it?

I myself have not tried it. But I have read and heard they developed the 450I to fit in the bed of the truck. So I assume it does.

tailgate up.... probably not, but the wheels will be in the bed, not on the tailgate

I rented a 5x9 trailer, it is barely fit with the ramp gate closed with only 6" ± to spare

    The 450i takes up 102" in length without any front brush gard, just stock, so go measure your truck..

I have a 6' bed and the back tires sat on my tailgate. 8' bed would probably work.

I had a Kawasaki Mule 610 XC that I had to pull the front plastic "bumper" off of to get it to fit. 

I really don't want to waste the time making the trip without knowing for sure.  It will be used for hunting and I tow a camper, so the tail gate will need to be up.  If anyone has a measurement of the length from the front of the front tire to the rear of the rear tire, that might help.  Or even the very most front of the 450i to the back of the rear tire.  The tires of the Mule fit in the bed, but the bed of the Mule was hanging past the tail gate some.

you could always take the tailgate off (stow it underneath the utv if your gonna need it on your trip), as I said in my previous post, the wheels will be on the bed (8') it would only be 4" of body extension that hangs out, should not interfere with towing a camper

Specs list the wheel base at 72" with a 25" tire.  At 97", it will be a tight fit.  Looks like the front plastic will have to go though.  The front tire will have to touch the front of the bed and the rear tire against the tail gate.

I own a long bed Dodge Ram, the 450i fits in the bed with all wheels in the bed, The tailgate gets to withing 2 inches of closing. There are latch extensions available that solve the problem. I use straps and hook the end into the lock of the tailgate and cinch the gate up.    Like I stated.....it is 102" in length so you need to measure from your front on box to your tailgate...if you have 102" then the gate will close, if not then no it won't !!!  If your bed is 8'....then that is 96" and that is less than 102" !!
