Einstein, Bagels and Kymco
« on: May 02, 2017, 01:22:17 AM »
What does Einstein, Bagels and Kymco have in common? Why, riding to Einstein's Bagels for coffee and you got it; Bagels. Sunday afternoon found me itchin to hit the highway to town and find some excuse to ride. I know, we need avocados and carrots at home. So I leave around 1:30 and pulled back into the house at 6 pm proud of my  accomplishments; 2 avocados and some carrots and stopped for a bagel and coffee. It was a cool day in the lower sixties and very windy but I was happy to get out and just like my distant cousins, hunter gatherers, brought home the cado.

Did a full scale Costco run on my burger a couple times, had the 46L top case full, the storage stuffed and some stuff netted to the rear seat.
Handled real funny but wasn't too far to home so worked out.

The expressions on the Costco peeps as I stuffed it full was kinda priceless.

I hear ya. Tried to send some but it's either my new phone or my internet access at home (satellite) that runs out of data at the end of the billing period (now). I suspect the latter though. Will try when I get a stronger cell signal in town.

Oh and the lil rascal is great!

Funny what we can haul on these scoots. I hauled 2 red plastic Adirondack chairs on the back of my B650 once. Quite a sight.

I've had an occasional comment when someone sees me pull up with a loaded shopping cart and they watch me store it all. Of all my bikes the B650 has the most use able storage by size/shape. I've had a full 5 gallon NATO gas can under there.

No excuse needed, Dan . It's just what we do. Some people get mean, some take drugs and some just act goofy, but WE RIDE and if that requires an explanation, then they wouldn't understand it anyway. Ride on Bro...

Yep, I believe the B650 has em all beat including the SW. You ever look at Oriental scooters hauling chickens, firewood and even entire families all riding together on a 50cc scooter?

Reminds me of strapping a 5' Christmas tree across the rear seat of my Honda Helix one year.

I've seen some crazy photos of stuff overseas.

Ok, finally figured out how to post pics with my new whizz bang camera phone. This was my Einstein's run. BTW, saw this really cool all electric motorcycle parked outside Verizon the other day. Wish I had been there to hear him take off.

Nice, beautiful weather. Ah yes Zero Cycles from near Santa Cruz in California. I thought about one years ago. First saw them as they used to bring a van in to a automotive dealership I worked at for service. Haven'the had the pleasure of riding one either. I thought it would have been a good commuter to ride to/from work especially if I could charge it while I was working.

Good reviews on the bike but geez, 3k for an extra battery.  Hear they're awesome in the dirt and pulls like a freight train. I just can't get past the short range of electric vehicles. I've got a friend who owns an all electric BMW midget car for urban driving but also owns an older Honda CR-V for trips outta town. That kinda makes me scratch my head a little.

Yah I think they need to improve the range a bit. I like that Tesla made some of their cars with a 300 mile range and adding in the ability to supercharge the batteries to something like 80% in 30 minutes.
