« on: May 06, 2017, 10:58:15 PM »
Evening all. Thought you might be interested in this. The Kymco Downtown 300i has just been discontinued here in the UK. This is the replacement which has just been revealed on the UK site. Hope it's of interest

When they downgrade it from 299cc to 276cc and a loss of 20 mph in speed I can see why interest would drop.
Why not place some of these technical upgrades to the current model and not kick it down a notch?

The closest bike to the DT 300i is the Kawasaki J300. In Australia we get both the XTown 300 and Downtown 350i. The DT350i is $1K cheaper than the DT 300i for some reason.

Wish we had those options here. Scooter companies in the States do a bad job of marketing their products. I had a guy come up to ask me about my bike, stating that he didn't like MCs but would lover to ride a scooter instead. When I told him the cost, milage, speed, storage and insurance his eyes went wider than I thought possible. I think I made a convert.
