Great idea. Have a friend who manages a mega Yacht for a client and reports back to him with digital documentation regarding the mechanicals.
I worked as a construction contractor for many years, photographed a lot of what I did during the stages of work, and sent weekly reports to absentee clients as work progressed to assure them their money was well spent.
...Thinking more on the subject, I don't know that any of them had a net linked webcam on their premises...
If I were an absentee owner of a property, I am sure I would set a system up for remote surveillance.
...I met an electrical contractor from Los Angeles who had been working on a renovation project in a pricey part of town.
His helper decided to have a pool party on the premises over the weekend.
$20k worth of damages was done by the time it was resolved !
Fortunately, nothing like that ever happened to me over the years.
Well, I had to buy a microwave once... a helper decided to wipe small specs of paint from one using a rag dampened with acetone.
It smeared the silk screened lettering on the microwave, which was brand new.
Fortunately under $300.
