From Midwest, USA.....as long as the oil meets the specs as found in your manual....don't know the popular brands in Australia.
Using less than a US quart - I change it out every 600-800 miles.
(take my used oil to a local garage. They burn it in winter to heat their facility)
For the first few thousand miles, I used only Amsoil Scooter Oil...bought from Amsoil.
Lately using SHELL T-6, I think it is.
12,000+ miles .....engine uses no oil that I can see.
