Swerve n curve scooter rally
« on: August 16, 2017, 07:10:17 PM »
The 18th annual scooter meet is this weekend for all you So Cal scooter people. I didn't realize that it was this weekend or I would have switched my work on call with someone to make it.

That photo of all those scoots lined up along that oceanfront road.....is amazing stuff.
In the past several weeks I've seen a nice gold Vespa at a art fair in my coffee village....and old Joe ripping around on his skinned up red Reflex.
When I  need to see some scooters I go look at the 10 or so at my local dealer (Kymco, Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha & Kawasaki .....no Italians)
Haven't  seen my neighbor or his wife on their LIKE200i 's this year.
After I started riding my LIKE every day to work, all year, 4 neighbors bought motorcycles and Darryl bought the pair of LIKE200I's.
Coincidence, probably.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

That looks like so much fun and just spent some time going through the galleries.  There are some really good looking scooters there.

I have seen both of those scooters before. The leather work on the Lance is well done.

The Swerve and Curve Ride was fantastic!

Aside from the thrill of 200+ of us riding together was the skill and daring of the front runners who blocked the intersections so we could ran every red light and stop sign, staying together like a funeral procession. I'm sure permits were obtained beforehand, right?
