Pet carrier for a Yorkie updated
« on: August 22, 2017, 03:45:22 AM »
I currently have a kymco like 50 2t and a like 200i and am looking for a way to take my yorkie for a ride. I have seen some of the trunk/top cases converted into pet carriers. Anyone take dogs for a ride?

So this is what we can up with so far,  we cut a hole in a aftermarket top box, she is connected to top box with a harness system and loves to ride all over. I will add some vents in the sides for her

Ran into this guy and his pup a couple of years back.
Takes a special doggie.

Riding a motorcycle wearing training shoes and with a dog sitting on his lap.

It's just an accident waiting to happen. I'd get as far away from this loony as possible.

Try this idea with smaller dog box.

We have a Morkie(Maltese/Yorkie mix) and had ours on our Goldwing with Deb too. We have a ventilated nylon pet carrier with mesh windows that we attached to the luggage rack on our rear cargo box. Don't have a pic of that (many moons ago) but thinking of doing same thing on my Kymco and Silverwing. So I'll add a luggage rack to both top boxes and attach our motorcycle specific pet carrier.

Dude has 100s of thousands of miles under his belt.
I don't care if he's naked, his choice.

And?

I don't care if he's naked, his choice.

I don't care either. He's still an accident waiting to happen though......and still a loony.

He's a little dude - makes that tiny PCX look like a Aprilia SVR 850!

Lots of room for animals left over.
There's a label under the seat of my Piaggio that says, "NO PETS". I thought that must be Italian for, "Don't spill the sauce", or something.
But no, the Italians had to make a rule -
'cause some people are carrying their rabbits and parakeets under there!
Weird.
No pets here, they'd eat my emergency Moon Pies.

I'm not trying to pick a fight with you AMAC. I just think it's hard enough trying to stay in one piece on two wheels these days without carting a hound around on your lap.

Off topic here - but really like those white Kymcos, Karl. Very nice looking scooter - have never seen any 300's at my dealer's except for the burnt orange one.

I agree, it's his choice. But, having a dog or any animal, just sitting without any restraints or any type of carrier, is very dangerous and irresponsible. I have a little yorkie/bishion,who is a very important part of our family, and I would never consider doing anything like that.
