And 4. make sure that your (green) ground wires to engine, frame and battery have always good contact, not being loose or corroded.
A little bit of salt water resistant marine grease in the cable connectors could also help some rainriders or coastriders permanently.

3 Biggest Yuasa fits

Or "learn how to to the scheduled maintenance?"

Or "Don't just stuff it behind the garage with a partial tank of gas, and leave it there for 6 years, and then tell me it's a crappy scooter because it won't start."

2.  Properly clean the carb (Add fuel stabilizer if the bike will not be ridden for a few weeks.)
