« on: October 22, 2017, 01:24:15 AM »
Has anyone found a published HP rating for this bike? If so, can you post a link? Thanks, Vic

A dealer told me it was 16 (possibly an approximation of 15.5).

I have scanned the internet for this but came up empty. Would like to see some hard number, hp @rpm and torque @rpm. Surly that info is out there someplace.

A "dealer" !!
Good gosh... those are the guys who'll tell a customer that a LIKE200I is a perfectly capable freeway cruiser with two-up!
(to be fair...but sad.....most salesmen have no clue that the LIKE200I is a 163cc scoot)
Remember, we own scooters - most dealers are for entertainment purposes only.

Stig

The "dealer" in question happens to be the Canadian distributer; he did the conversion from the metric specs before my very eyes (I assume he rounded a calculated 15.5 up to 16).

Found this right here on this board.
11.4 kw  = 15.5 hp
15.1 nm = 11.1 ft/lb
148 kg   = 326 lb.
109 km/h= 68 mph
A little heavier than what I would have thought, others are about what I expected.

Well, it took a couple years but I finally got a very nice Yager home today. Won't be able to do any riding until next week when I can get ins. and tag. I think the only rain this bike has ever seen was on the trailer today when I brought it home.
As for the weight of 308#, that is a "dry" weight. Somewhere on this board I found the wet weight listed as 326. "Dry" weight can be very deceptive. In the late '90's into the early 2000's the 600 sport bikes were one of the most competitive segment of MC sales. Each of the big four tried to gain a sales edge by claiming the lightest weight. It got so bad that the claimed dry weight was without fuel, oil, coolant, brake fluid, battery, and, because sometimes rubber is regarded a liquid, NO TIRES or any other rubber parts. Does anyone really care what a bike in that condition weights? It got to where the difference between dry and wet weight could be as much as 65 to 70 pounds. During that mentioned era I worked for a race organization that used the manufactures claimed weight to determine how much a particular race bike had to weigh. It really got to be a headache. We finally just set a minimum weight for all 600 Super Sport bikes
.

All the info in one place.

11.4 kw  = 15.5 hp @ 8000
15.1 nm = 11.1 ft/lb @ 6500
148 kg   = 326 lb. I actually weighted mine with all fluids except no fuel at 331 pounds.
109 km/h= 68 mph claimed. I got a GPS 2 way average of 66 mph.
