Hold-up at the coffee shop!
« on: November 04, 2017, 11:26:40 AM »
Today was this winter's first balaclava ride for me..."feels like 34°F" per my weather app.
New girl at the coffee shop. Her eyes said "I need to drop behind the counter!" when I walked in.
Joe (with the '51 BMW) laughed and told her it was "OK, he always looks like that in the winter".

OK, I  hope that's the last of the townsfolk that need to be introduced to this nut on a scooter....

Battery gloves are working a treat. 3.5 hrs out is just not possible without them!

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

Should not terrorize the natives, Stig! Makes them restless and growly! My stars! You motorcycle people!

I went in to the local post office with my helmet on last week and the owner definitely fumbled under the counter for the shotgun trigger*

Btw Stig. I'm in the market for rechargable battery heated gloves. Which ones do you have?

Snorvey

*Not really, but even though he knew it was me, he was definitely alarmed.

snorvey,
I have been using Gerbing battery heated liners for a few years. Carries the rechargeable batteries in the cuff. I wear leather Olympia gauntlets over them.
No hassles with wires when I  hop off and on, on a cold day. Just toss them under the seat, and turn off until return trip. No worries about pulling down scooter battery on a distant trip on a cold day.

Winter?  ??? Better update your app. It's Fall. Winter isn't until December 21st. Don't rush the seasons. I happen to love fall. Riding the backroads and seeing the fall colors are the best.

From my cell...."feels like 27"
Nevertheless. ...heading out on the Piaggio soon as chores finished.  Colder stuff is coming.
