My vibration problem was

The front tire. I replaced the OEM Chin Shin with a Michelin and now my 125 rides like it is on glass.

..even the stock CST can be (probably most of them) balanced to perfection.

There are no balancing weights on my front rim which suggest they just don't
bother doing it. The tire might have been fine.

There were no weights on my old or new tire either. My girlfriends Agility 125 doesn't have weights on her wheels either and hers rides like it's on glass with the old CST. Go figure. All I know is I'm a happy camper now and can do 60mph without my teeth chattering.

I've ridden a huge amount of different scooters (worked 2 years at a bike shop) on all kinds of tires,
owned 2 scooters myself and I'll agree that the stock CST tires suck for slick city roads and are especially
dangerous when going over wet crosswalks (painted parts), but I was expecting them to be much worse.

On good dry roads, I have no problems leaning them over almost all the way, and I've scraped my center
stand more then once doing 50mph+ at some on/off ramps.

That said, they've progressively started getting worse at around 7.000km on the clock, and are now turning
to plastic rapidly. However, until 7k, they were just fine.

..they do suck on painted, even morning dew-wet painted road surfaces...

..i did a gymnastic split while braking on a painted directional arrow one morning...

After locking up my front 2 times in the same day for no apparent reason
(ok, I was braking, that could be it, damnit) I replaced the front tire as I
don't have a death wish just yet. Put a nice and soft Sava MC29 Sporty
(probably only available in EU markets) on it.

If any of you ride in the wet, and you got over 7.000km on your CST tires,
replace them, no questions asked. Any tire will do, as long as it's new
and from a respectable brand.

I'd like to see the Michelin's. Are all the available tire brands so angled on the front?
