Fork center gear shift kymco venox 2012

Hi,
Anyone had a bent fork center gear shift on kymco venox. Wondering if its a common issue. Has apparently damaged gears 3&5 as a result.

Have been told more to fix it then what I paid for the bike ( labour costs mostly) $500 for parts.

Only 10,000 ks & otherwise in perfect condition & been told better off just forgetting about it.

Anyone with similar experience? My first bike & love it...not in a position to get another. Suggestions. Oh I'm a female & very basic mechanical knowledge.

Is it a part that you can give us a photo of ?
So, asking if it is an external part, rather than internal.
Many of us have fixed bent shifters gear selectors, etc.
Pictures please if possible.

I'm only just beginning to get acquainted with how manual transmissions work, but the shift fork is very much internal, and probably requires extensive disassembly to get at.

I'm not sure what you consider to be very basic mechanical knowledge. But you might considering finding a service manual online and seeing if this is a job you'd consider tackling yourself. Or maybe someone you know.
