Seafoam
« on: July 19, 2010, 11:44:20 PM »
I know you have talked about Seafoam and I did not pay attention at that point. I want to use it in my 04 People 50.
The 50 has 20,000 Km on it. Where do I put it in and how much? After it is in the scooter do I ride it immediately? Then, how often do I use Seafoam? Also, how long before I see results?

Put some in the gas tank an ounce or two to a tank, than ride once you do that I put a cap full or 2 every other tank, this oxigenated gas seems to create is own water vapers not good on a little one cylinder, some times right after you put it in you will see steam in the exhaust smoke.over night seems to do the trick for most if carbs a bit dirty It kinda works weather you are moving or not,but suggest a few miles be put on to aggitate things.

I have been using it since I got water in the gas of my Benelli 50cc a couple of years ago. I now have a SYM HD 200 and a People S 200
I fuel up from gas cans in my garage. That way I can keep the bikes topped up without constant trips to the gas station. And it is important to keep the tank full, that makes condensation less likely.

I add one OZ Seafoam per gallon of gas in the can.

In the last 8500 miles of riding on three bikes I have not had a stall, hard start or any other engine or carb problem, so I would say the stuff works, or at the very least it does not hurt.

Thanks for your information. Since I put Seafoam in my People 50, it runs much better. Starting, acceleration and gas mileage have really improved.

just a bit of useless info for any dummies like myself..................     NO seafoam in a 2t oil tank, i believe that was the problem, going back out for a short test run...must work in gas tank, had to clean it twice JUST AFTER putting in tank(debrised the screen that quick)......

just take it easy with that stuff to much is no good. after time you well have to clean your carb.
