Should I upgrade to the Myroad700i from the xciting500?

Reports are - if @6' - don't even bother test riding.
5'8" or below....should be able to find one going for a song.

I am 5'11 but I do not understand.

Because the Xciting 500 fits me just fine and the MyRoad 700i is suppose to be slightly larger still.

6 footers will ride with their knees dead against the dash plastic - they say. Is there one around for you to sit on?
One could always ride with knees out.

I Sat on one at Berts Megamall in West Covina. It's honestly about the same size as the Xciting500. Maybe slightly larger. I am just about 6 feet too. I only know one youtube review where some  insults the bike the entire review and then points that out also.

Other than that, I wonder if there is several other reasons to upgrade. For example, do you feel that extra horsepower a lot even though the top speed is only about 104 mph? My biggest thing is pull away speed for lane splitting and stuff.

Almost any scooter can jump a car at lights, even small scooters. They are specifically made to do that in daily riding in Asia.
A lot of maxi scooters are notoriously short on knee room. Pro bike reviewers do not always make happy scooter sitters.
The Kymco 500 is also considered a tight scooter for knee room by some.

But you are not looking for feedback from non-500 owners.....

Karl, I think at one time lane splitting out there was supposed to be no more than 20mph faster than SLOW moving or stopped traffic.
Now, plenty of videos of riders flying through very high speed Calif. freeway traffic.

That DMV disclaimer is pretty much what the CHP mounted trooper told me in 1968 as he showed me how to properly split traffic. He also said stopped traffic or stop and go, no more than 10 mph and YOU no more than 5 mph faster. Leave yerself some margin for error. What he said.

Why not? Top speed is rated around 107 I think.

Many scooters can benefit from lighter roller or slider weights in the transmission if you want more responsive acceleration. Heavier rollers are often included for fuel economy and refinement.

My bike comes alive around 7000 rpm. Below that, it's soggy.

Yah they only sold the MyRoad for the last two years here (2014-15). They started making the bike for sale overseas in 2008. Horsepower is 59 on it vs something like 55 on my B650s.
