TPI/ABV Reset
Early Models
The throttle position sensor (TPS) and idle air bypass valve (ISC) have to be reset when throttle body, MAP, TPS, ISC or ECU have been reinstalled.
1. Turn off the vehicle, then turn the key to the ON position (do not start the engine).
2. Using a test probe or wire jumper, short the TPS/ISC
reset wire (pink) to the battery negative or a vehicle ground.
3. Turn key switch to the OFF position and remove the jumper. Do not leave the TPS/ISC reset wire grounded to the frame, and do not remove the plastic insulator on the end of the wire.
