Miata cabrio instead of a scooter?!
« on: March 31, 2018, 12:22:24 PM »
After another frozen pre-sunrise ride with face shield frozen open on my scooter....makes me wonder if I couldn't be just as happy going for coffee in a top down Mazda Miata. They have a wind screen, and a heater!
I used to commute 30 miles in my old 60's something Mustang convertible with the top down all winter on the highway in Massachusetts. Even if snowing. Bundle up, heat on full blast....heat REALLY  comes blasting out when the top is down on the highway!!.. so i know the Miata could work here in Ohio.
Well, too late now to get smart. Have too much invested in being a flake.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

Still need a full-sized parking spot. Neat little car. Like a reliable MGB.

I found that if you roll into town before sunrise -- parking is no problem!
I was just grumbling after another cornea freezing ride. Then I had coffee in the sun and forgot all about it. (no one's preventing me from putting an actual screen on a scooter....
'cept me)(guess I still like to pretend I'm on a Norton Commando)

You’re a air cooled guy plenty of choices better than a Miata.
Health forcing my hand to more convertible miles than scooter miles.
That’s life.

If I ever must give up two wheels, I might track down one of these:

The main downside is that as tiny as that is, it only gets about 25 mpg.
