Bore and stroke
« on: March 31, 2018, 06:16:22 PM »
Hi guys! What does your user manual or service manual says about bore x stroke in your engine?

I found info that there is 52.4 x 57.8mm
Which means when we put into formula

=0.785x5.24x5.24x5.78= 124cc

Any thoughts?

EDIT: I was looking for Agility 200i spec and all of them says the numbers above.. now, when I have searched for Like 200i spec, numbers are, bore x stroke 60x57.8 which has sense.. ;)

Sorry, about it, moderators can lock or erase this topic.. seems not much info about agility 200i :/

you need to divide pi number by 4.. and then you get 0.785
and bore and strokes are in mm but we need cm so you divide numbers by 10 to get cm, right

example, 52.4mm/10=5.24
so you have to put 0.785, multiple with bore (squared (that is why i put bore * bore)) and multiple with stroke.. and you will get ccm :)

anyway, on every single online info about Agility 200i there is bore and stroke from 125cc engine..

sorry stig i am newbie on forum and from some reason I feel sarcasm in your posts..
I just wanna say, as I live in Taiwan for last 5 years, repairing scooters here, might help some people with problems but the main thing about this topic is that I just bought Agility 200i back to Europe and before I go home was looking for info about it.. If you take 2 minutes of searching you will find that there is not correct info about bore and stroke for agility 200i.. I don't have service manual yet so couldn't check it out..
for example,

https://kymco.com.au/agility16200i/

http://www.scooterino.com.au/showroom/agility-166-200i.html

https://www.bikesales.com.au/showroom/SHRM-AD-453396/2017-Kymco-Agility-16-200i/

this one is even different than those above and still not correct

https://www.autoevolution.com/moto/kymco-agility-16-200i-2014.html#aeng_kymco-agility-16-200i-2014-163

Cheers!

Naw, dolac. Stig is anything not sarcastic. He is humorous and humble with big "H" letters. Kymco has been devious with several models as in the Yager and Like. Their habit of "rounding up" is disappointing. They did get some right, however! Scoot repair on Taiwan should have great job security! What brought you to do that?

its not only about Kymco, every country obviously have different rules.. cuz Yager 200 is called Dink 180 here.. I guess if there is above 150cc, 250cc and so on, in some country they called it 200, 300 and so on.. here in taiwan everything is way better, not sure it is about Kymco..

Here is paradise for scooters, everything you can imagine you can find it here and do modification as you want.. I got scolarship for MBA and as I am familiar with scooters for more than decade I found local Taiwanese guy that runs Kymco shop (but repairs SYM, Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda etc.) and we work together.. I have Kymco Kiwi 100cc with 64000km (original engine and clutch, last week changed front shocks!), Kymco KTR 150 (48000km) and Kymco Grand King 125 (28000km).. Scooters are like your legs in Taiwan, you dont walk, you ride.. very sad there is no models such as Racing 150 and G6 abroad Taiwan..

Yeah, pictures! Very good, dolac! It has been 48 years since I have been to Taiwan, Taipei City and endless bookstores and Mongolian barbecue. It would be a reunion for me and other Asia sailors! The stuff you have learned in the scooter shop will be valuable to all of us here with fat fingers and empty heads. OK, my fingers are fat and my head is empty....
Need more input, dolac! We await with great anticipation!

Should i attach pictures here or should I open new topic (which sub forum)?

And what kind of picture do you want to see, I have plenty of them, working on scooters, trips around Taiwan, all the mods I have seen so far (like installed turbo)..

Spring brake is this week, tomorrow I am planning my trip to Kenting, then to Taitung and back as on Saturday I have to be in Taipei, so next 5 days I will be all around Taiwan again and please don't blame me if I don't manage to upload pictures tomorrow. It is time to get some miles again :)

Stig, as I said, it is not my shop, but the guy call me family, I am there every day, and it is small Kymco garage with great mood and positive people. :)

Like's here are not so popular yet (and here is only 125cc version), younger population prefer yamaha cygnus, recently s-max 155, force 155.. as there are plenty of modifications they can install.. taiwanese people like shiny think like bulbs everywhere and so on..

Crossbolt, I am sailor as well, but on small sailboats (20-60ft), sailing is another passion :)

Any, some, all, color, black 'n white, whatever picture you have, you took or cut out of a magazine! Pictures of fixes, failed fixes, special trouble shooting techniques, test rigs, tools.... no way to make a mistake about too much!

Sailors of anything operate at a different pace than normal people, don't they!

dolac,
You can go to home page, post your pictures in eye candy. Or in specific scooter threads.
Pictures of scooters, scooter related, ride reports and scenery are always welcome.
