call me stupid..

ok i know i know... prob shouldnt even be working on this scoot. but i cant even find the main jet for ajustments all i managed to change was idle speed. got a new k&n style filter ( thanks zombie) anyway any tips for the noob?

the main jet is inside the carb...take carb off, take out the bowl screws, the main jet is in the middle(the needle sits in it). just screw it out . the pilot jet is the smaller one next to it

btw, which carb is on a s9...the pb or pa??? its on the mount at the intake mount....

that would be a PB... its a 2005 btw if it makes a diff... but thanks for the tips

Gotta start somwhere,you got the right attitude learn your bike the best ya can! Most people think they just bought a car that needs little to no maintanence(I buy them all winter long that way cheap)and most problems are simple but people don't want to deal with it or pay the overpriced repair bills. once you understand your bike you'll know whats going on by the way it sounds after some time.there will be some dissipointments,but it's all part of the fun   ;)
Kymco peoples too many ;) I'm not an expert just a full time hobbiest.

..there's this guy that i meet every day on my way home from work on an s9...

..looks like obark's...but he's going slow...

Hmmm I don't know if ya ever get em just right  ;D  There will be a bit of tuneing you must put in a bigger main jet #95 is the best start.I'll try to post a pic for ya .sights been buggy lately wont let me put pics up.I'll try

Here's a pic of the carb bowl,the main must be replaced with another larger jet.The others should be cleaned while you have it opened up

Ha! been into bikes all my life at least since i was 5 and theres always more to learn.The scooters are new to me and 5 years ago you would have never caught me on one.Now I'm hooked!Think every household should have at least one.Me 20 aren't enouph,been trying everything I can and have found the kymco to be the best for the money.You'll get it,takes a little time.
