Sorry I have been MIA lately. Over the past 2 years since retirement, my wife and I have seen a lot of changes to our lifestyle, such as dealing with both of our aging parents in many ways, and the recent death of my father, which means more changes.
We are also, because of the price of fuel, consolidating many of our trips to only once a week, which means we are carrying a lot of stuff with us (too much for the scooters) as we run errands, drop off stuff for the parents, take them to Dr appointments, and so forth . Also, my wife has been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, and is no longer able to take the pain associated with riding scooters (bumps, wrist, head, heat, cold, etc.) and I don't really want to spend my retirement riding alone without her. Riding together is how we started and it's just what we do, so riding really looses a lot of its meaning to me when riding alone.
So bottom line is that we made the very difficult and sad decision to sell our scooters. With all the lifestyle changes lately we just had to do it. I will still be here checking on all of your exploits, but for now I will have to ride vicariously through your scooter adventures. Keep those tires rolling for us!
