 ;) Hi guys!

finally I´ve got the race cdi for my Orbit 80, Sym cdi´s canot be desrestricted....

With 6.6 gram polini rollers im doing exactly 80km/h. My final gear ratio is still the original. at that speed the engine looks that it wants to work backwards hehehe

I´m wondering how fast are you going? I´ve seen some vid´s of guys doing 96kmh.... ???

My setup is:

81cc airsal kit
naraku 24mm Carb with 118 main jet with naraku cnc spacer
uni filter air filter 42mm
polini variator
1500 spring
top racing adjustable clutch

leovince exhaust

I dont know why my sym agility looks like is gonna break something at 80kph, it can keep that speed on a straight line. and I am pretty sure that the engine cant rev any higher.
also dont know if the kymco agility has a longer gear ratio stock than sym.

Also got that belt, are your leo spings yellow? my exhaust had those springs included on the package.

maybe my clutch spring is to soft... my the torque spring is 1500rpm. think it starts to open the clutch at 60kph

thinking of buying the naraku gear setup, have anyone of you tried that? It should give an extra 10%  top speed..
on a big hill clim it can mantain 51|52kmh.

cheers

yesterday I took my little white mule for a ride and I noticed that the funny noise I was hearing when I reached 70kph plus speeds was coming from the cvt case, can it be the belt hitting the bendix??
Im gonna take it off today to see if the noise goes on...
with 2 persons on board on a flat road it reached 70kph with the 5.5 rollers.
i think its not bad because i´m not very small guy, but i feel like the bike lacks a little bit more grunt.... :-[
good low rev torque but at hi revs that stock engine head needs some work to it.
that 24mm carb is like an on\off switch, on mid range it lacks an acceleration pump, and has little bit of a hesitation when you nail it, but one thing is for sure it will eat a fuel tank for breakfast....

those ncy products look very nice but hell they are expensive!
in europe things are a lot more cheaper...

Hey guys,

Just ordered a Keihin 24mm CV Carburetor for my 2010 Like 50 4t.
Any tips on jetting or tuning this beast?

Josh.

be prepared to spend some time around it lolol
first thing that you will need is a bigger head intake, stock is to small for that carb.
second the throttle cable is to short, you will have to spin the mount taht comes on the carb 180º and get both nuts on the cable to work on the same side to get extra clearance.
the stock air box wont fit the carb, get yourself a 42mm good air cleaner
buy yourself some jets , i started of with a 105, went down and then way up, actually with an 118.
buy the naraku cnc spacer to reduce the gap between the carb and engine head intake diameter.

basiclly its a good carb, has no acelerator pump, it hesitates when you push it then it rockets forwards
and it can outrun me in a drinking contest at the bar.
it´s big, twice the size of the 18mm

are you runing stock engine??

wich mods have you got??

later I will post a web page that helped me a lot tuning that carb.

that funny noise wasnt coming from the cvt.... hehehe
i think it is the engine valves, they are needing some stiffer springs the prevent them to bounce at hi revs.
i am getting affraid each time time i squeeze the hell out of that little screamer hehehe

really thinking on that naraku big valve kit.....

The scoot is completely stock ATM, bar having the variator bush replaced with a De-restricted item.

My plans for this one is to simply get 80 - 85km/hr (50 - 53mph) as a top speed.
I may be looking to increase the overall acceleration (take off) in the future, but right now I'm chasing speed!
I plan to order a new exhaust in the next week or 2, hopefully:

or better still:

I am still a bit lost with my CDI, even to the point where I'm now starting to doubt the fact that the Like 50 4T even has a rev-limiter.....

I guess we'll see how things go.....

well josh in my opinion dont buy the 24mm carb if your scooter is stock, you wont gain power, you will loose big time. stick the original one and upgrade the main jet ;) along with a good air filter.

I have a leovince exhaust but it is differente from those, it looks like a 2 stroke dirt bike muffler, and it roars like an atv hehehe.
dump the carb and get yourself a good variator, like malossi, polini etc..

do the cdi magic and it will rock

my cdi had to be a new one and it stopped killing the engine at 60kph  like the old cdi did.

Well I shouldn't complain really..... When my scoot got delivered brand new it did 65km/hr on the flat.
With the variator boss De-restricted it now does 70 - 75 on the flat, and 80 - 87km/hr on a slight downhill.

GO FIGURE!!!!

Did I buy a freak?

Josh.

WOW
thats a really fast scoot :o

my is a SYM and every time i raced a kymco i got my ass kicked and the basicly the same hehehe and share a lot of engine components but kymco are a lot stronger

mabey you got the cdi desrestricted already if you are reaching that kind of speed

and i guess since i changed to a bigger engine cylinder i have lost some rpm because of the bigger piston, small equals fast hehehe

unfortunlly where i live its basiclly up or down, very few flat roads, on of the reasons for me buying a bigger jug, for the extra torque. on some uphills my standard engine struggled do mantain 18\20kph, now i do 45kph on a 18% hillclimb
