Haven't received the bike yet, but in the showroom I bottomed the shocks just by sitting on it. Im 6'2" and weigh 318 pounds, you see. Will definitely do my research, and will get the right shocks, but was just wondering if anyone had the same experience and what their solution was. And before anyone says I'm just too big for this scooter, my last one was a Ruckus!
Please set the shock preload to max, and take a ride before spending $ on aftermarket stuff. The LIKE is rated to support your weight + a bit more.
I am 6'3", 265 and can bottom most scooter shocks on the showroom floor.
Yes, severe holes and bumps can bottom a LIKE under me - but I understand how little suspension travel
all scooters have (including $12K maxis) and choose my routes by the best road surfaces.
Yeah, little guys can go off-roading on a LIKE, but they're not going to like it- while healthy guys like us gotta stay on the pavement.
Again, try it after setting the shock preload, see what you think. Moving down the road makes a big difference.
