I have used a spillproof mug placed under the seat.... in a carry out tray. Weight it with your tool roll and flat repair kit. Block of foam works as a carrier, too, under the seat.

Stig, I've seen you mention cup holders several times now. I'm curious to hear you expand on your anti-cupholder vitriol. Is there a story behind this?

Personally, I would never use one, even in a car. Having one built into a scooter could very well be a deal breaker if it wasn't easily removable.

Ya have an aversion to cup holders, or just think they're overstated (I think it passed silly a long time ago, but still like having a couple of 'em).

What common features do you consider mandatory these days?
ABS? Power Window? Adjustable steering wheel?  Power seats? or ?

I'm only partially facetious, regarding the cupholder thing. I really, really would like to have one, because it's one less thing to put in the boot under the seat. I already have my briefcase, tools, cargo straps, and a small first-aid kit. Not much room for anything else. And I do have such a reputation for being a coffee aficionado, that one of my students gifted me with a half pound of Jamaican Blue Mountain beans before the exam this evening.

Regarding the texts and snapchat thing, I know what texts are, but I just don't waste the time doing them. Snapchat, or what ever it is must be one of those time-wasters that teenagers play with when they're on their phones in class, or the cagers are doing when they nearly hit me all the time. My cellphone is also under the seat. I don't even have a GPS or camera. But I want a place to put my shiny aluminium coffee cup...
