I’ll have to pay closer attention to mine over the summer. I don’t let myself get to caught up in looking at the display why riding. I wish the digital display was behind the steering wheel. To date far as I know mine has not malfunctioned. I’m actually in the process of getting some numbers ran on trading up for a 2018 turf edition. (And moving my accessories over to the new machine)

ksimpson....I think you may have been taken thru the Artic Cat pkg.  I do know those irems with the A?C brand on them are priced higher as are the machines themselves.  According to Kymco product pricing that sensor is supposed to cost 48 plus tax and shipping.  I guess if they drove across country and delivered it personally they could justify that price.  Perhaps we may have all learned a lesson here, becarefull where you shop!   My guess is the dealership did not bother to check either, just used the cost factor for A/C parts and let it go.

Out of curiosity I went to my local dealer (Arctic Cat and Kymco) to see what the Kymco price is for the speed sensor. $55 plus tax...  Guess we did learn a lesson here, unfortunately I got to pay for this lesson but glad to share with all of you. I’ll take one for the team!

Just an update on the speedometer issue, this past spring it was working on some days but not on other days.  Removed and cleaned the sensor but no difference.  Now that the heat is on here in Ohio, my speedo has been working fine everyday.  Why?  Who the hell knows, have had an inquiry into the factory for a couple months now and no positive responses, just we are not sures!
Obviously an electrical glitch that occurs only sometimes, I guess only time will tell.

So where can I find this speed sensor online? I've looked everywhere but nobody has them in stock.

They need to be ordered thru a Kymco dealer. Any dealer can order it and have it shipped to you. Do not use Artic Cat or you will pay 3x as much.

I just talked to the local Kymco/AC dealer this morning; he said they've been having a lot of issues with the Kymco sensor and said that by the time you pay for s & h, they're probably about $10 cheaper.  He told me if I have an AC then order the OEM sensor.

Have you tried cleaning the sensor and the electrical connection? I gave mine a thorough cleaning and coated the electrical connection with dielectric grease and it hasnt acted up since...knock on wood.  At last check the A/C sensor was 150 and the Kymco sensor was 55,  it weighs less than one lb and will fit in a cigarette pack, no way shipping will cost 90 bucks. I WOULD  try another dealer.  For 150 bucks I wouldnt bother fixing it!

Yes, I did the same as you did but it still doesn't work.  The problem is, there's only one Kymco dealer that is close to me. They are the ones that talked me out of ordering the Kymco sensor, because they don't want to sell the wrong part.  My OEM # is supposed to be 3313-172 and I couldn't find the Kymco cross reference, nor could they.  Arctic Cat (Thief River Falls) is about 2 hrs north of me, so he said there wouldn't be any shipping on the AC sensor.  I've found an aftermarket one online for about $110.

Just a little update-
I ended up purchasing a new AC sensor from a small place in Ohio for about $135.  Installed it and speedo works again!
