Seat Latch

New to scooting. The latch on my seat for my 2009 Kymco Granvista is broken. Therefore the warning light stays on and then runs down my battery. How can I fix the latch and/or "unplug" the warning light?

Take out the met-in tub and unplug the lamp. Find the wires that go to the switch (es) and do what works to extinguish the warning light probably just unplugging one wire from each switch and taping it. This will give you time to repair the problem correctly.

The switch that turns on the instrument panel light is on the latch. Either cut or disconnect those wires at the latch, or push the latch mechanism until the panel light goes off.
