The battery in the people 250S is supposed to be a Maint. free battery-glass mat or Gel battery. Because of this anything smaller than a 1amp battery charger maynot bring it up to full 100% then float. I have a 1-1/4 amp battery tender that will charge up my scooter and motorcycle batteries in 4-8hrs depending. I have a 3/4 amp Battery tender JR that will only bring up the regular lead/acid conventional batteries up 100%. It never will bring up the higher performance batteries.I hope this saves somone some money. The Batery Tender 1-1/4 amp model costs me about $48.00 at Cycle gear. The Battery tender 3/4 amp charger costs me $ 35.00 at a bike shop.
