..if it makes you feel any better, bat...lol..it was 25 degrees cooler today, and damp with a 10 mph wind......

..could run only 50 tops downhill!!..

..this 49.5cc scoot will ALWAYS be at the mercy of the wind and weather....

..woww...that's amazing...25+ degrees F cooler in temp...

..66 degrees and it's a different scoot...won't push the rollers out far enough at top end.....

..killer take-off, but won't reach top speeds...

..so, that tells me that i'm slightly lean, because at @ 85-92 F this scoot was awesome...


 

..carb tuning time!!

..need to upjet ........slightly...one size at a time...'til i find that happy medium...

Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of!  I pulled the plug after a shortish ride to the bank and looked ok.  My 110 was fouling plugs pretty bad, and had a slight rich bog in a couple throttle positions which have been getting worse for some reason.  I attribute it to the heat and humidity.  The next jet size down I have is a 105.  It seems to have solved the bogging, just hopefully not too lean!

..wow...that's a big step down....

..i rode my daughter all over town yesterday...she had a ball trying to hang on at take-off, and accellerating from a near stop...

...alright, i've determined that i ..believe i now need a 1500 contra spring....i've settled on the 27 grms  roller weight and am loving how this scoot is performing there...

..at 93+ degrees, my scoot is a rocket-ship off th' line, and really performs! throughout acceleration all the way to top speed...

..let the temps drop to around 80 degrees, and it falls out of the accelleration powerband a bit early, and there's a lag to get to top speed...

..plug chops at both conditions of WOT appear identical...

..i speculate that with the lighter rollers, i now need to go to the 1500 torque drive spring...


..notice the words, "believe" and "speculate"...never been in this territory before, where i thought this scoot could really benefit from it...

..just did a lil more tweaking...first in awhile...

..th 729 belt is holding up nicely, so i swapped out the 4.3 weighted rollers for my old, worn 4.7s...

..swapped the oem drive face for the aluminum NCY with a taller profile..

..85 degrees, calm winds and a relatively low humidity...

..she's hitting 52 indicated quicker than before, as the power band has streched...

..wish i had me a tach, as i'm just playing it all by ear now...

..didn't take her on the long downhill run yet so i don't know how the changes will affect top speed...

well before this trouble i could actually hit 51-53, but it dam sure wasnt quickly.       BUT, it is quicker than before.
