So it seems as if the answer depends on the purpose one intends to use the scooter. As stated above, I used mine as an alternative to a car riding to work nearly 50 miles from home. I simply would not have done so on a scooter that couldn’t reach highway speeds. It would have limited my riding to the scooter’s capabilities. I likely would have only used it for pleasure and as a weekend toy rather than a daily driver. If keeping up with the flow of traffic is important, then having a scooter capable of doing so is necessary. If not, then a 150 is fine.

Morning Forbes,
Writing here after my sunrise, backroads, ride for a cup of coffee in rural Ohio.
You'd like a 150, or even a 125, if you joined me.
I made this silly post after a happy morning ride a few weeks ago...."this is great!, why would anyone need more than the 155cc's I'm sitting on 😊 !?"
I drive in Florida, where you live, every year. I tell you....I would not ride a Ducati Monster out there every day with those people!
Yeah, no.
150's have a limited safe area in the States. I'm happy that I live in one of them.
