Do you ride in the cold?

This was a bit sporting...it was before I had my electric gloves.
Ice fishermen out there on the far right. That is really nutty.

a couple of months later...

Was before I got my Kymco.  But middle of January in Minneapolis.  Usually get out at least once a month in winter.  Should be a lot less temperamental with fuel injection now

I ride everyday no matter what the weather is as my scoot is my only transport but luckily it only gets down to around 37 degrees farenheit in winter where I am living.  Don't think I would enjoy early morning starts in the snow or ice.

Year round here. But it is Alabama and a bit warmer. The lowest temp I've ridden in was 10ºF for 6 hours at night. No electric gear. It was getting a little painful after 4 hours. Last 2 hours it was really a bit warmer as the sun was rising. But I've learned that even with the same temp, the sun shining on you can feel wonderful. The last tour I took in the cold, I lost all my pics because the camera froze, then when it thawed.....well, it just shorted out.
If I lived in Yankee territory I'd prolly have the electric gear too. You guys that ride year round up there are tough.

I rode in -40F last year on the agility 50, plan to do the same with the Xciting400i.
I rode nearly daily, no electric gear, just layers and skigloves!

I tend not to go outdoors if it's below 70!

2013? IL'm guessing as that is the last snow I can remember here in Bama. Here in central Bama, that snow lasted almost 24 hours!!!!!
I do know that north of the 300 mile marker on I-65 it does get a little worse  ;D

That was Feb 2015.  I don't remember any snow in 2013.  At least I didn't get any pics.  Here's a couple I took in 2014:

Riding in the cold isn't stupid. Being dumb enough to go out and sit amidst ice trying to catch fish is stupid. <bwahahaha>
Two things to consider...
1) The early bird might get the worm, but the second mouse always gets the cheese.
2) Eagles may soar, but weasels never get sucked into jet engines.

Those are some beautiful pictures guys.   Being here in Texas where it’s been hitting 100 degrees or higher everyday, it doesn’t get too cold during the winter here.   Still, I do ride all year around, even when it’s in the low 40s.   That’s cold for us.
